congratulations and assignment letter

Congratulations!!!

You've been assigned to Malaysia, with an expected departure date of October 2, 2009.

The in-country portion of your CSC experience will run through October 31, 2009 and you will be based in Penang. The details of your specific job will be developed as you process through the pre-work phase in the twelve weeks preceding departure. Given your departure time your team will begin pre-work no later than July 6, 2009.

If you are unable to join this team please let me know as soon as possible so we can replace your spot with another CSC participant.

This team, titled “Malaysia 2” because we've already sent one other team to Malaysia, consists of ten IBMers ranging in tenure from four to twenty-two years and representing eight countries: Japan, New Zealand, France, US, India, Spain, Switzerland and Russia. Your team has skills in consulting, development engineering, information technology, project management, sales, research, and marketing. Assuming you all accept your assignment you will get to know each other very, very well.

To accept or decline this assignment please click on the below link and sign in. You will be directed to a screen with three tabs: Medical Information, Participant Agreement and Statement of Understanding. The medical information will be kept confidential and is for use in case of an emergency. The participant agreement is the document I shared with you just after your selection, and it is available for viewing on the online site. The statement of understanding reflects IBM's business conduct guidelines. At the bottom of the statement of understanding page you will be prompted to Accept / Decline this opportunity. Should you wish to decline, please skip to the third tab and select that.

If you have to decline this assignment for business or personal reasons we will do our best to assign you to another team in the first half of 2010. Please be aware that the team assignment process is very detailed and it isn't as simple as moving you around. We balance teams based on skills, tenure, gender, geographic preference and home country.

Once we have all the participants on this team established we will communicate with you directly about next steps and getting started on pre work.

Best Regards,
Kevin
